WHY CONDUCT A BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION?
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) defines a Background Investigation as a thorough and comprehensive inquiry, consisting of personal interviews and a wide variety of record checks, designed to verify background data provided by the subject of the Background Investigation and gather information favorable and unfavorable to assist in the decision making process concerning the applicant's suitability for employment in the capacity in which he or she is applying. Above all a background investigation must be thorough, impartial and professional.
